Audio Recordings: We capture audio via your microphone for the purpose of real-time transcription.
Transcripts and Notes: We store the text generated from your audio recordings and any notes you create in the editor.
Quiz Data: We track your quiz sessions, scores, and performance statistics to provide educational insights.
Attachments: If you upload images or documents to your notes, we store these files in our cloud storage.
C. Device Permissions
The App requests the following permissions to function:
Microphone: For recording audio to generate live transcripts.
Camera: For capturing photos of documents or whiteboard notes.
Photo Library: For uploading existing images or documents to your notes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide real-time audio transcription and note-taking features.
Generate AI-powered summaries, key concepts, and quiz content.
Store and synchronize your notes across devices.
Personalize your learning experience and track your progress.
Maintain and improve the security and performance of the App.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
To provide our features, we share data with trusted third-party services:
Deepgram: We transmit audio data to Deepgram for speech-to-text processing.
Google Generative AI: We use Google's AI models to process note content for summaries and key concepts.
Supabase: We use Supabase for database hosting, file storage, and user authentication.
RevenueCat/App Store Connect: For managing subscriptions and in-app purchases.
Note: These providers process your data according to their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Retention: We keep your content as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services.
Deletion: You can delete individual notes or your entire account at any time. When you delete a note, associated metadata and content are removed from our active database.
5. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. This includes encryption of data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
6. Children's Privacy
Leksia is intended for students and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date."
